2017 Marks Our 40th. Year!!!!
Thunderbird Horse Center Ltd. is a family owned and operated business. Since it’s beginning in 1977, it has been constantly evolving, keeping up with the ever advancing equine industry. We take great pride in our offspring from an over thirty year breeding program of top quality AQHA brood mares and stallions. As you cruise through our site, you will recognize the great foundation of our breeding program going back to legendary sires such as: Doc Bar, Smart Lil Ricochet, Doc Quixote, Scotto Dee Bar, Dual Pep and Double Driftwood. Our horses for sale are listed here on the site. If you are interested in any of our brood mares, please contact us.
” We would like to sell you the best horse you’ll ever own”
Thunderbird is a multifaceted facility . Everything we do is centered around the horse, appreciating what wonderful and amazing creatures they are. Countless numbers of people have been exposed to educational opportunities particularly by attending lessons. Sharra has an awesome children’s and beginner’s program and Neil can be booked for adults and specific discipline lessons. We have available cattle and buffalo for cutting and working cowhorse lessons.
We encourage you to check our clinics page to see how simple it is to set-up a clinic with Neil, Sharra or both. The options are unlimited. Horsemanship, colt starting, riding, cattle work, barrels or whatever you are interested in.
Since 1977, over 3,000 head of horses have gone through training at Thunderbird. Neil has over 40 years experience, and has been passing his expertise onto his daughter Sharra, who has joined the ranks full time. The utmost of care goes into every aspect of our operation and training is no exception.
Boarding is available and arranged on an individual basis according to your needs.
Research has shown that horses eat approximately 18 hours a day. They thrive and stay in optimal condition on good hay. That is why it so important to us to have an abundant supply of the best hay.
” The best is the least we can do”
